A college in Pinhais, Paraná, is trying to obtain authorization from the Federal Supreme Court to open a Law course in 2006. The opening was blocked by the Minister of Education, Fernando Haddad. In the Writ of Mandamus, the Pinhais Higher Education Center alleges that, in 2002, it requested authorization from the Ministry of Education to open the course.
